Oh man... that's great, Spike. I'm happy your life seems to be turning around a bit. Crossing my fingers that it continues.

Diving is awesome fun. And as another diver who has experienced sheer terror at not being able to breathe while under the surface, I can truly sympathize. I am able to look back at the incident now, and realize what a good thing it was, in disguise. Not many people have experienced that kind of terror/panic. Having experienced it once gave me confidence that I am better able to handle that kind of panic if it ever happens again. And it served to make sure I stay focused, have a plan B, etc. :) Wanna share war stories?

Just wait til you go diving in a warm ocean where the visibility is over 100 feet. It's like the world is yo ur heated swimming pool, only there are tons of fish in it too! No experience on land can even compare to that.
