I think we worry about the “axis of evil” because we know just what we did when we had the capabilities. Why can’t we be the big old generous and loving nation that focuses all that defense (it should be called Department of Offense instead) money on researching cures for cancer or other diseases? Or if we took better care of our children or homeless? Sometimes it is all a mystery to me.
